1 September 2011 Air Europa pilots strike, starts from Thursday September 22. Air Europa pilots will strike every Monday and Thursday till issues are resolved. This is going to be a very bitter industrial dispute and will only get worse. Issues over workplace harassment, boycott of union reps, down sizing. Management has a tough stance.

10 August 2011, Possible strike threat in the air, 520 Air Europa pilots claim management is funneling flights to Orbest from mainland to Canary Islands, resizing the company before selling it or merging with another airline.
Orbest is based out of Lisbon, Portugal a subsidiary of charter company Orbest Orizonia Airlines.
