Romanian Administration of Air Traffic Services (ROMATSA) currently has 1,530 employees. Between 2500-3000 transiting aircraft, every day, 20,000 daily passengers. Controllers highest wage in the country 21,000 lei per month in 2015. By law 30% of air traffic must be ensured, guaranteed.

Tuesday 30 May 2017 You should know air traffic control strike has been cancelled, lucky you. Unfortunately an agreement between union and management was not soon enough for 6 flights cancelled, 7 delays at Henri Coanda Airport (320 flights daily) Bucharest.
Cluj Airport also had delays. Blue Air, Ryanair cancelled some flights as well. By law 30% of air traffic must be served, ensured. Delays lasted three hours.
Friday May 26, 2017 Romanian air traffic controllers announce new strike action planned for 9am, Tuesday, May 30th, 2017. Stay in close contact with your airline. The un-ended strike will start 9am.
