21 June, 2018 Announced today French air traffic controllers will again strike this week-end. Strike starts Saturday morning and will end early Monday. Airlines will have to juggle around flights starting Friday evening. Call your airline. Passengers hit coming and going. Disgraceful. Italian air traffic control will strike 5 July and Spanish passengers waling around on egg shells. Barcelona controllers have given government 48 hours to come up with some sort of help Amen.

Update:-13 March 2017 Berlin Tegel and Schoenfeld airports baggage handlers back on strike today, 25 hour strike. Monday 4am till 5am Tuesday. Union and management a mile apart on any agreement soon. As usual you know what to do. No luggage, get to airport early, call airport to see if you are leaving, although this maybe unreliable Berlin Airport Notice.
Wednesday, 8 March 2017 Passengers thrown into chaos again today. Flight delays still horrendous 550 flights canceled in France alone.
News from NOP:-Brest and Bordeaux airports flights will be affected till Friday 10th of March till 7pm. Marseille strike will end 10th March 5am.
Paris Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports destinations Canada and USA awesome are not included in strike action.
Paris Orly departures:-214 on time, 41 delayed and 61 cancelled today (at writing it's 5:15pm in France, still a lot of time for those 41 delays to turn into cancellations)
CDG departures 504 on time, 45 delayed and 18 cancelled. Air France flights departing from CDG 354 on time, 31 delayed and 9 cancelled.
Air France CDG 99% of short and medium halls departing and from Orly 78 domestic flights departing.
7 March 2017 CDG had 31 departures cancelled, 20 of those were with trouble Air France.
Consider your self lucky Orly was hit really bad 68 flights departing Orly were cancelled. Air traffic control strike ends Friday 5am 10th. Make your hair curl see NOP
6 March 2017 Today at Charles de Gaulle Airport 454 flights were on time, 111 delayed and 20 cancelled. Hurricane winds added to the confusion today.

Update:-Saturday, 25 February, 2017 Wage negotiations to take place next month between Air France management and unions on Tuesday, March 7 and Friday, 10th, 2017. Union CGT calls all Air France CGT union members to strike on March 7, 2016.

National civil Servants will strike also on the 7th of March, 2017.

Yes, French air traffic control will strike again, Thursday, June 23, 2016. Air traffic control disruptions are not known yet (June 20) Again it's who show's up for work. Airlines haven't been asked to cut back flights - yet. (You can expect same procedure for June 28) Stay in close contact with your airline, you could be delayed, cancelled or brought forward.

15 May 2016 Flights from and to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport will likely be delayed, cancelled or brought forward due to French air traffic control strike.
French air traffic controllers will strike on Thursday May 19, 2016. (and perhaps 26 May?) If strike goes ahead airlines will be asked to cut back flights to and from France. Stay in close contact with your airline. Air France will take brunt of strike action. French national rail company SNCF is also striking.
French taxi drivers are threatening to join in.

If you are changing flights in France and have a long lay over in a French international arrivals lounge. Get a French visa as you will be sleeping on a cot in the lounge while other passengers sleep in a comfortable hotel bed with private bathroom. March 2016 saw 140 passengers sleeping on the floor at Orly Airport.
Expect knock-on effect. Perhaps CDG will scrape by.

Monday 16 February, 2015 Aeroports de Paris (ADP) workers plan strike for this Thursday, 19 February, 2015. More details to be announced Wednesday. (We missed it, or it wasn't published)
Strike last week by workers saw delays Thursday and cancellations of Air France flights (medium hauls, European flights) on Friday at Charles de Gaulle, Le Bourget and Orly airports. Airlines were asked to drop flights to and from Paris by 20%, virtually no notice was given.

12 June 2014 Announced today workers from 3 unions, Cat Air France, FO and SouthernAir will strike this Sunday, 15 June 2014. These three are what's known as minor unions and industrial action likely to be ineffective.
Unions must come up with 300 workers willing to strike. Air France will have a contingency plan in place.

December 26, 2013 Yes, one more wildcat strike at Charles de Gaulle Airport today. Strike involved yet again Lufthansa Airline workers. Workers call in sick, tired and depressed. This causes some 11 Lufthansa flights to be cancelled to and from Germany. This issue is not going away, airline will cut 200 jobs. Choose another airline.

December, 7, 2013 French public service workers strike from 6 pm Sunday, December 8, 2013 to 5 am Saturday 14th December. Brest and Bordeaux will not be involved in strike action. Brest possible delays Monday night. Toulouse Tuesday evening, Wednesday and Thursday possible problems.

12 June 2013 Today is the worst day of the strike. Thousands of flights have been cancelled. We do have some good news. Strike is now to end Thursday 6am. (despicable play by unions)
Still the airlines had planned for Friday 6am strike and canceled accordingly. It will take a while for flights to get back to normal. Call your airline if flying on Friday.
